Orux has problems with external bluettoth GPS
I have an android handy "Samsung Galaxy Ace 2". If I use orux with the intern GPS I can see the speed i drive with the car.
If I change to the external bluetooth GPS all functions work but the speed is always 0 km/h.
I have the following very good external GPS Receiver: http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B003YCZINA/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I thought the functions must be the same if I use the internal or external GPS.
Has anyone similar problems with external bluetooth GPS?
Wolfgang

hmm.. the link is gone..Wolf359 wrote:What is BT474?
BT474
No need to active NMEA, without you cannot use your device.
It's the communication protocol and defines the format of the possible informations.
Detailed information you will find on kowoma
No GPS device with log all possible sentences, only a part of them.
But sometimes just the sentences needed by a special program are not there.
Or the vendor has cut alot of them due to marketing strategy.
BT747 will -> help you to trim <- your device for logging all data you need.

Re: Orux has problems with external bluettoth GPS
Thank you for your help.
I have two questions more:
Is BT474 for Android?
Is BT474 a interface between the GPS Device and Orux (GPS => BT474 => Orux)
OR is it a full navigation software instead of orux?
Thank you for your help and sorry for the simply questions
Wolfgang.

Origianally BT474 is a configuration software for Bluetooth version of i-blue 474 (MTK2), but meanwhile it runs nearly every MTK device.
Please refer to the linked manual
