Thank you, works fine now! The state of e.g. Route Alarm setting still stays on OFF.
Nevertheless it's an app with the famours wow-effect! You can be proud of it.

Something is wrong in your phone

Try:
1.-open a map.
2.-load a route (with on screen button, not with menu).
3.-menu--route--track route. (Begin tracking the route, without this step, alarm does not work).
4.-menu--route--route alarm.

Then look if route alarm is on/off. I have tested with German locale, and seems to work fine.

(Begin tracking the route, without this step, alarm does not work) <-- I didn't try it when tracking was on. Now I can see the correct "Route Alarm (ON)" . Maybe you want to make a little popup explaining that tracking mode should be on or something like that.

You are right, I am rewriting the manual, and I will add some popups.

Sorry to bother you again... I had my first bike ride with OruxMaps this day.
I turned on tracking mode (to record my route). In the beginning everything worked fine. I was correctly spotted by GPS and it went well for about two minutes. For some reasons the phone lost the GPS signal (GPS icon disappeared from notification bar) and OruxMaps stopped recording anything. I had to turn off tracking mode and turn it on again to re-record the track. This happened everytime.
I'll email you the device log and the recorded tracks. I hope it helps.
Recording tracks works fine with "My Tracks" by Google. GPS signal stays on.

My phone specifications:
Motorola Milestone
Android 2.0
Kernel 2.6.29-omap1

You have to know, I'm not a phone / application beginner at all. I often develop my own applications for mobile devices (Psion) or for my personal computer.
