OSM openmtbmap > OruxMaps

at openmtbmap you can find maps specializing on mountainbiking.

as this is an OSM project, do you think it would be possible to implement http://openmtbmap.org/ into oruxMaps?

openmtbmap is a project, where data from osm is converted to be used in garmin devices. oruxmaps doesn't use this type of maps (the data gets rendered to a map by the device, therefore you can zoom seemless and routing is possible) oruxmaps use maps out of images. if you visit openstreetmap.org you have access to these images. they are rendered out of the osm data. on the top right you can change to different styles. the same data gets rendered differently. http://www.opencyclemap.org/ tries to render the osm data for cycling, but doesn't use the mountainbike tags as openmtbmap does.

i hope you understand, what i want to explain

if once mapforge for offline-rendering is included, it could be possible to define an own set of render rules.
At least I hope so, I have no experience with mapforge and i don;t find any information how to configure mapforge.
Does someone check this out?
