Problems with conversion
Hi,
I discovered Orux and it seems to be a good app for my Android phone. I was using previously GPS Tunner CE and I have hundreds of personaly calibrated maps in .jpg. The calibration file has .gmi extension.
I'm trying for hours now to get a converted map which I can use in Orux but it's now working. This is what I've tried so far:
First I convert calibration file from .gmi to .map. I'm using a simple online conversion link: http://www.map-imp-gmi-converter.com/
Then I convert my map from .jpg to .ozfx3 using ImageToOzf program. Each such map Ozi opens on my desktop. On my PC everything works fine.
I then start OruxMapDesktop and try to create there calibration files for Orux. It gives me a read error. If I use initial .map file which I got after online conversion then I get calibration files.
I move all such files into oruxmaps/mapfiles folder on my phone. I open app and a quick notice pops "Loading Map_44-18" and nothing happens. If I zoom out the screen jumps to world map.
What is wrong? Did I miss something?

Hi;
OruxMapsDesktop needs the .map + the .jpg file.
It seems that there are some problems with windows 7. May be it is your problem?
Could you send me one of your oruxmaps map -->oruxuro@gmail.com

Re: Problems with conversion
Hi Orux,
Thanks for your reply. I'm using XP and it is not a source of my problem. I was trying to convert .map calibration files from a folder which had other files in it. Seems that OruxMapsDesktop requires a clean folder with only .map and .jpg files in it. After I did that the program suddenly started to work.
