Multilayer map creation fails with blank warning dialog
Hello!
I'm creating a map from a scanned image approximately 30mb in size, exported from Photoshop CS5 as a jpeg file. I've also tried a jpeg created by another program.
When I run OruxMapsDesktop and create a single-layer map (i.e. "Multilayer" is not checked) the conversion finishes properly and I can use the maps in Orux on my Android devices. However, if I click the "Multilayer" checkbox and select the output scales, the conversion fails.
The conversion appears to start ok and the green progress bar in the lower-right of the OrusMapsDesktop window progresses appropriately for each layer, but after the final pass a blank warning dialog pops up:

After completion the output folder contains the map folder named "Catalinas Green Trail Side 1" and within it is the sqlite database file. However no otrk2 file was created in the folder.
Here are my input settings:

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) SP1 with UAC enabled, 8GB ram, and the latest Java VM (downloaded yesterday from Sun). The only "unusual" thing I've done is modify the Orux batch file so it contains the full path to the java.exe runtime. ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -jar OruxMapsDesktop.jar). I'm using a UNC path to the files in the example above, but I tried it last night from a local folder and had the same issue.
I noticed there is another thread on this topic but the original poster simply replied to himself and said "problem already fixed".
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Just to make sure, I added the location of the Java runtime to the PATH environment variable and put the orux batch file back the way it was. It did not fix the issue.
EDIT 2: I'm using OruxMapsDesktop 2.0.16beta

Re: Multilayer map creation fails with blank warning dialog
I had this error and at that time there was not enough memory to create the multilayer map. It is not that your 8GB is not enough it is there is not enough memory assigned to the program.
Open OruxMapsDesktop.bat and change the this value:
-Xmx512m
Use like 1024m or maybe more. That is for you to figure out. For me 1024 was enough to do all jobs.

Fixed!
Ok, that makes sense. I tried the following command line in the batch file and it worked.
java -jar -Xmx1500m OruxMapsDesktop.jar
Thank you very much, thatsme! You nailed it.
