Database analysis

It would be nice if some data analysis could be performed within Oruxmaps database for all shown items which were previously selected by the filter options. For instance I am interested in a totaling of the distance, time and elevation of the selected items for the year 2011 with Track Type ' Mountain Biking'. This analysis could be added to the option menue within the manage database page (where the existing options 'import track', 'sort', ' filter', 'reset filter' are placed), and the result could be displayed in an additional page which shows the resulting data AND the selected filter criteria.

I have suggested this improvement in 2012. It makes very much sense to add some basic statistics to the database. Within the database view (function "manage") it would be verfy useful to add a function for basic statistics after selecting a track type and a start and end date. For basic statistic it would be great to see the total distance, total altitude (gain and loss), total duration (moving time). Maybe this function could be added to the existing filter function. When the filter criteria are chosen, the result is the list of tracks which match the filter criteria (as it exists now) AND a new line with the totals of the filtered items (for distance, altitude gain/loss, duration (moving time)).

Is it possible to add this funciton to your great APP? Looking forward to see it soon.

Instead of building a full feature track analysis tools in OruxMaps, one alternative is to export the selected track statistics in CSV format for analyze using other programs such as excel or memento database (available on android).

Hello Epic

I did not ask for a full feature track analysis tool in OruxMaps. I agree that this can be done through a data export and any analysis tool such as excel, of course. I would simply like to get a total of Distance, Time and Altitude of selected items, as desribed in my request for improvements. This feature would be a real added value to OruxMaps. I simply do not like to always export data to my computer just to get this very simple totals which could be easly derived directly within the data base of OruxMaps. Thats all I want and it would be easy to implement this request since all data are available in the Orux database. Other Apps can handly this, and I am sure OruxMaps is the best of all of them and therefor should be able to handle such simple statistics too.
