alpine_hut.png missing at mapsforge library

Hi,

Please could you add the alpine_hut.png to the mapsforge symbols with the next release, ist missing too in the actual downloads from Mapsforge.
Btw: If I had own symbols/pattern how could I add them to an already installed OruxMaps-Programm on my Android device?

Hi;

The symbols are hardcoded in the library, inside the .apk file; you can not add files.

That symbol is inside the last snapshot of the library, you will find it in the next version.

If I want my own symbols to be rendered with Mapsforge what path should I use within the mapping.xml file if I copy the symbols eg to sdcard/oruxmaps/mapsforge/symbols/.
Sorry this question is not Orux related but this would prevent me from trying around to much.

Hi;

I don't know, but I think you have to play with some attributes. An example from default theme:

<area src="jar:/org/mapsforge/android/maps/rendertheme/osmarender/patterns/military.png" stroke="#e4e4e4"
stroke-width="0.2" />


try with an absolute path; for example: /sdcard/mypatterns/.......

For me this is working:

<rule e="way" k="landuse" v="military">
<area src="file:/sdcard/GPS/rendertheme/osmarender/patterns/military.png" stroke="#e4e4e4" stroke-width="0.2" />
</rule>

the path on the sdcard is GPS/rendertheme/osmarender/patterns/military.png
