track recording without any map in mountain area.

I am using oruxmaps just for track recording during hiking. I don't want to use any map in mountain area. using map in mountain area causes battery problem.

To use oruxmaps in mountain area, I should prepare offline map before hiking, then I can load the offline map and start track recording. this map makes many problems.

I really don't need any map in mountain area. without any preparation, I want to start track recording!!!! I want to prevent battery problem!!!

Please provide the function - "track recording without maps" - just start GPS and start Track recording!!(without any map)

1. making offline map is not easy for beginners

2. sometimes forget to prepare offline maps before starting hiking.

3. sometimes forget to bring extra battery

Why I should use maps during mountain climbing. I just need track records. I load track records to online sites and use those. I don't want above problems!

You can add a 'no map' or 'empty map' to your offline maps--> configuration--maps.

Using a map does not spend more battery if you're not viewing the map (with your device in your pocket).

You can use view 'trip computer' that allows you to start-stop-recording of the track directly, and create wpts without using the map.
