mapsforge xml selection

Currently Orux uses the build-in mapsforge xml or the xml in the map directory with the same name as the .map file.
But when you want to use different xml files for different activities, for each xml file a identically named .map file has to exist. So if I have 3 xm files ( e.g. walking, cycling and car ) I need to have 3 copy's of the same .map file. Allthough sd is cheap nowadays it still feels like a waste of space.
Priority off course is low, it's just a wish.
