Altitude from external source?
I note that the beta version has the ability to display 3D maps based on altitude data from an app called High Altitude (HA).
Knowing that the accuracy of GPS altitude data is somewhat lacking, it occurs me that it might be possible for oruxmaps to use altitude data from HA, and embed that into the track data rather than the GPS altitude? I know that this would rely on the HA data for the relevant area to have been pre-loaded onto the device, but if you know in advance where you are going to be roaming, then you can arrange for this to be done.
Thanks.

Hi,
drmrbrewer you are working with HA and Oruxmaps, do you see the same difference between the two.
I am just wondering about two differnt numbers for the altitude in the same Place.
Oruxmap shows using Altitude from DEM data i.e. 97 meters and the app "High Altitude" shows 94 meters,
at the same Long/Lat Position, and using the same .hgt file in the same folder.
When you move the pointer on a contour line in the map, Oruxmap shows always a differens of about 4-5 meters,
but "High Altitude" shows the correct altitude on the contour line, again with the same .hgt file.
????
regards
