Strange Crash
on a one hour walk this morning I had a strange crash (latest beta) ...
Hero was in the pocket when I heard a beep sound. I deblocked and saw a message 'Building database' or similar, same as when I use OruxMaps for the first time. On the Notification Panel (the one you have, when you slide down the top line) I had the message 'Tracklog Saved' ... However, I did not save it, I was in the middle of a tracklog ...
Will hike tomorrow again and see, if it is reproducable.

Re: Strange Crash
Hi, Peter.
I know what happened.
OruxMaps was killed because android needed more memory for another application, and OruxMaps could not restart correctly.
You can reproduce this problem: Open a map in OruxMaps, then go to home and open a lot of another android applications. Try to return to OruxMaps, you will reproduce probably the bug.
I will solve it.

Re: Strange Crash
Hmmmm,
This problem is causing me quite a headache.
I think it will take a couple of days to resolve.

Re: Strange Crash
Take your time, Jose ...
Does this mean, it would be better to work with smaller maps? As I do them myself, I'm free to decide, which ones I want to copy to the SD card ...

Re: Strange Crash
Hi Peter;
The problem is not the size of the maps, OruxMaps holds in memory only 3x3 pieces of them, regardless of the total size of the map.
The problem is that, once passing OruxMaps to the background, android can kill OruxMaps task without warning, if there is a need of more memory for other task. When Oruxmaps returns to life, he needs to be in a consistent state, but debugging this situation is not easy.
