Load KML Overlay - Missing in OruxMaps 5.2.5beta5
Hi Orux,
It appears the menu item 'Load KML Overlay' is missing in the latest beta - v5.2.5beta5. Or has it moved somewhere else? The menu item 'Tweak KML Overlay' is still there.
While I'm talking about the KML/KMZ overlay, I'd just like to re-iterate how very effective they are for airspace depiction in OruxMaps.
One minor point that can be corrected is the way KML/KMZ are displayed in OruxMaps compared to Google Earth. There are some subtle differences in OruxMaps that limit the ability to work out what side of the airspace is the 'active' side. Google Earth parses the KML/KMZ with a 'hard' line for one side of the airspace, with a translucent band on the 'active' side. This way is good -
Google Earth -
OruxMaps displays the same KMZ but loses the 'directionality'. This way is not so good -
OruxMaps -
There was also another post here requesting a KML/KMZ Autoload function when OruxMaps starts -

This would be a very good feature also!

Hello.
The problem must be solved in the current beta.
There are some features of kml files that are difficult to implement, as the one you describe. But I hope to work on it soon.
