Automatic map select

Hi!

When I create two different maps (1*1km and 1*1km) covering a total area of 1*2km and scrolling between the two maps I get the "select map" dialogue. The two maps are using the same zoom level. I have other maps covering the same area but with different zoom level.

I was hoping that the application would automatically select the new map based on my current zoom level.

Any thoughts?

I use the Mobile Atlas Creator to create maps.

There's only one map with the same zoom level. I still get the browse for maps dialogue.

I discovered that the map change only works when setting the "Auto load maps"-option to "Always (Caution!)".

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Hi, Anders;

In 'Always' mode, the most detailed map will be loaded at each position.

In 'When leaving current map' mode, there are 3 options:
-->if one map (and only one) is found: this map will be loaded automatically.
-->if no maps are found: nothing happens.
-->if more than one map is found (no matter zoom level) a dialog will be displayed, asking which map do you want to load.

Hi!

Just to be clear. The 3 options only applies when setting the "Auto load maps" option to "Always", (not "Leaving map"). Setting it to "Leaving map" triggers the browse for map" dialogue in all cases. At least for me

I dont see the added value of the "browse for map" dialogue when a map with the same zoom level exists. I would suggest that the map with the same zoom level was loaded as default. I think that would be much more user friendly.
