ability to have more than 500MB in a single offline map

is there any possible way that could you please make it so that we can keep downloading into the same "offline map" and letting it grow beyond 500MB?

i understand there may be complications with downloading more than 500MB at once - but i would at least like to be able to download as many 500MB "chunks" into a single "offline map" as i desire.

currently, i am using Backcountry Navigator simply because of this one feature (large offline map databases). i really, really, really want to be able to use Orux instead, but this map size limit makes it unusable for overland/expedition travel purposes.

i have purchased the donate version, and if there is someway i could pay to get this feature done sooner rather than later, i would certainly consider it. perhaps you could have a donation fund per feature request, so that people can vote for what gets improved with their $$.

create an offline map - if you try to select a really large area or too many zoom levels, and it results in a download that would be over 512MB, you get a notification that the limit is 512MB and cannot proceed.

even more problematic is that you cannot select an existing offline map to add more areas or zoom levels to at a later time. instead you have to create a new map each time... therefore, to get all the areas and zoom levels i want, i would have a giant list of offline maps that is difficult to manage.

some competing products also limit how much you can download at a single time, BUT you are allowed to download additional areas or zoom levels of the same map source type into an existing offline map as many times as you want. that is the feature i am asking for in Orux - i want to be able to create a very large offline map, even if i must do so 512MB at a time.

i am using the most recent Orux Donate version in Android 4.1
