I have a htc hero with android 2.1 flashed on it..

I have notice that oruxmap keeps dropping the gps signal will hold signal fior a few minutes then drops it for a second or two and hen tries to reacquire it which it does almost instantly .Its definitely a problem with orux as OSmaps,Orienter compass, Navigon and other gps based apps work fine and keep the signal till app is closed....

Are you aware of this problem?does anyone else have it and is there a fix???

Hi;

Default minimal time for position fix is two seconds. Meanwhile, android can stop the gps (in order to save battery). But you can set this parameter to 0 seconds (in settings, application) and gps will stay active always.

but the battery will last less time.
