Trekbuddy maps in Oruxmaps

Hi Orux,

I've got my first Android phone coming in a few days and am looking forward to trying out Oruxmaps. I already have a Trekbuddy atlas (several GigaBytes). Does Oruxmaps support Trekbuddy's tar format to allow both Oruxmaps and Trekbuddy to share the same mapfiles? The maps were not created with the atlas creator, they were created through Oziexplorer.

Hi, dwplj;

Sorry but OruxMaps does not support this format.

But if you have the original .map files (ozi maps) you can use OruxMapsDesktop to convert to OruxMaps format.

I will definately have a go with the convertor. The phone is supposed to arrive tomorrow so will have a play tomorrow night!!

Are there any plans to support the trekbuddy format in the future??

Hi, dwplj;

No; there are a lot of different formats, I think it is easier the conversion between them, instead of direct support to all the formats.
