more batterie consumption or not

I have Samsung Galaxy S
I have record as i did each week my walking to day and i use 100% of the batterie in 6 hours.

The other days i use around 50%.
to day the weather was cloudy and i believe GPS signal is worse but ?
but when a saw that i cut GSM signal to avoid batterie usage after 3h recording
Is a more important batterie consumption with 4.6.3 version of oruxmaps ?

on the other hand what is the best values for GPS to preserve batterie ?

Hi,

There were changes in default gps settings in previous versions, can not remember when, because some devices lost gps signal.

The setting that affects the battery consumption is, in configuration gps, 'minimal time between measurements'.

0 sec .--> high consumption.
2 sec. -> less consumption.
...
2 min. -> Very little consumption.

You have to find the value that best fits your needs.
