Waypoint with Voice message

-> Wpt types with voice message. You can add the type and message in the file customwpts.txt like this:
type -> continue
icon -> continue.png
voice msg -> Continue straight
add this line at the end of customwpts.txt file in OruxMaps / customwpts / folder:
continue|Continue straight

Hi Orux,
I tried this with the newest beta ... but I only can see the new icon "continue.jpg" as a waypoint ... but I can't hear any voice message?

Is it necessary to activate "voice message" anywhere?
Where does the voice message come from?
How could you know the meaning of "Continue straight"?

What could be done?

It would be really great to get this working ...

It should work fine:
You have to enable (enabled by default) 'Wpts TTS' in configuration--TTS/Sounds.

Then you have to be 'following a route' or 'navigating to' that Wpt. with the Wpt. Alarm on (Route button, Wpt. Alarm).

It should sound the warning when you approach the wpt.

thanks, just went out (in the dark cold night ) ... and yes, it's working

My problem during testing was that I always forgot one of the above conditions ... but with all activated it's really working ... and a great feature.

Hi Orux .... just a question.

Normaly I create my route with my PC and load it with OM.
Now I want to use the custom waypoints within this route/track. But I found no way to edit the loaded waypoints.
If I add a new custom waypoint it is not integrated to the track ...
I tried to edit the track on the PC (and used the new custom waypoints) but OM didn't recognize them as a custom waypoint (with sound) ...

Any idea how I could change route waypoints or add new waypoints to an existing route?

1.-you build a track using a PC tool, exported as gps, for example, with waypoints,...
2.-you import the track to OruxMaps
3.-you can not see/edit the waypoints
...

2. Then I import this track into OruxMaps ..




3. Now I want to change some of the waypoints from standard waypoint (e.g. "PT6") to one of my custom waypoints (with sound (e.g. "Links")

Hello;

Open the track using 'Continue the track' option, instead of 'Load as a route'. The track can by modified (wpts edited/deleted/added, the track can be continued with new segments,...)
