tracks DB is corrupted?

Hello all,
today I introduced a friend of mine to the beauty of Orux, via phone (he does not live in my town).
After all the basics instructions I gave him some homeworks and he was good (saving a map of his area, record a quick track, send that track to me via email).

Unfortunately he could not made the third and he called me: from what I heard his DB has some issues. He followed my instructions step by step but he can't get past "send as GPX", also "export as GPX" (to local filesystem) does not work.
What can be done there?
