Froyo crashes completly

Hello Orux,

I'm using oruxmaps since V2.8 , it is a great app for me for hiking, but with V3.4.2 and 3.4.0 I have a big problem with it.
I start the GPS, after the GPS is stable I start the logging and sometimes it crashes completly, the Hero makes a restart.
Sometimes it works a hour or longer, then I disable the screensaver and then it crashes completly.
With the latest V2.8 I don't had this problem.
Here my config:
HTC Hero with FloyoCM1.01
Android V2.2.1
Is it possible that you support me with the latest 2.8 version?

first thanks for this nice software, i use it often.

I have the same problem like Chris. I have tested it with OruxMaps v.3.4.2 and with the beta versions now (3.5.12). After some time mostly after 45-50 min. my htc desire shut down complete and make a restart. With the official version the tracking was continued. With the beta not, i have to restart the tracking. Is this a bug or problem in OruxMaps or on HTC, perhabs gps problems? I use a HTC Desire, software version 2.2. software number 2.12.110.4. Before sometime i used gps navigation via handy, so it works and my battery was or is also not empty or marginal.

Hi,

An application can not make restart your android; it does not have sufficient privileges. This is an Android bug. OruxMaps could cause it, but the OS should not allow that situation.

Hello Orux and stefan83,

I think I have fixed the problem with the crashes, I update my Hero from CyanogenMod 6.0 to 6.1, after this update I can use the latest oruxmaps without any crashes from the Android.
