permanent correct calibration
hello, i have ozi calibration files which doesn't exactly match my map files
so i figured it would be easier to correct this on the go.
the problem is once i correct calibration and exit the program it doesn't remember to correction.
is there a way to make this permanent?
thank you

Re: permanent correct calibration
Why don't you make correction of calibration in OziExplorer?

Re: permanent correct calibration
I would have permanent calibration too . Yesterday I was in mountain to walk and there was an error of about 1 km SW , from real position on map and sat position .
I calibrated it , but the map calibration was not permanent (as reported by oruxmaps) .
Doing the calibration using oruxmaps is easy , while I have no idea how to do the calibration using OziExplorer without knowing the sat position (?) .
For this reason I really hope too to have the oruxmap calibration permanent.

Re: permanent correct calibration
Calibration parameters are not the same for each point on map. Correction you do for one point does work for that point and some area around it, but usually not for the whole map. On the contrary, correction you make in one area of map can produce even larger error on other ares on the same map.
So, the best way to correct map calibration is to do it in OziExplorer as that produces proper calibration for map in whole.

Can I find some doc to do the correction using OziExplorer ?

Re: permanent correct calibration
You simply recalibrate with correct parameters.
