Bug : cannot hide Status Bar

Congratulations for the new version, very nice.

One bug to report : there is an option in "Miscellaneous UI" to hide the Status Bar; this option has no effect; if you tick or don't tick the option, it is the same, the Status Bar is always displayed. This is annoying on a smartphone as it takes room on the screen.

This option works on my device: Samsung Galaxy S, Android 2.3.4
Do you have custom icons displayed in the status bar other than standard data connection, standard cell phone signal strength, battery and clock?

And it's working on mine...Droid X, Android 2.3.3

I have 4 items in the status bar :

1 : GPS on
2 : recording track
8 : route loaded in map viewer
11 : waypoint navigation mode

and whether I tick the option "Hide status bar" or not, it is always on the screen.

Hmmmm--strange. In version 4.0.1 I don't actually show a dashboard setting under User interface/Miscellaneous UI. My settings in User interface/Dashboard are:

Hide dashboard: unchecked
Dashboard hide/wake up: checked

Are you seeing something different?

The issue is not with dashboard, it is with status bar (the little green icons).

Hi;

you want to 'hide buttons' in settings-user interface-buttons.

android status bar is:

There is some confusion; I am not talking about the Andoid status bar, I am talking about the status bar made with the 13 green icons (the values are described in the manual, from 0 = GPS map scroll off, to 12 = compass).
Is there a way to have this status bar disappear ?
