Cannot access settings

With the newest beta, and using the old menu (when can we customize which buttons shows up in the new top menus???), there is no longer a way to access settings. Press menu, "Settings" shows a bunch of options such as backtrack, help, etc. etc. but nothing about settings I have to erase my all my settings (otherwise I cannot even change the old menu option) to get access to the settings page. I'm rolling back to the older beta for now.
