Out of memory

Hello,
I'm trying to convert a ~15MB (6000x8000px) jpg + map file into an OruxMaps map and I always get "out of memory"...
Could you pls help?

Using OruxMapsDesktop?

linux or windows or Mac?

it is not a large map;

Check that you use correct jvm parameters (if not using .bat or .sh files):

java -Xmx512m -jar OruxMapsDesktop.jar

Using OruxMapsDesktop on a 64-bit Win7 Pro with SP1, java parameters are all default as they were (e.g. as you write - using the bat file).

I have the same here with several maps I like to convert. Maps are not really large (smaller the 4kx4k). I converted input maps from png to jpg, without success. Also using W7 64bits. Set memory par to 1024, without success.

I could send you map and jpg for analysis.

Additional information:

The problem does not occur anymore, and this can be caused by one of two changes, I would bet on the first:
1. Use 32-bits java runtime on 64-bits W7. Changeed command line to:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java" -Xmx1024m -jar OruxMapsDesktop.jar
2. Switched off mulitlayer maps now.
