There is a new beta, pre-1.4 version.
Features:
--map rotation with compass or your direction.
--Waypoints edition.
--More info in Statistics.
--UTM/grid coordinates.
--omc2 image extension.

This version also supports layered maps. You can create these maps with: Trakbuddy Atlas Creator.
More info in manual: OruxMapsDesktop. There are interesting maps, like OpenCicle topo maps!

You need to use this version of OruxMapsDesktop: OruxMapsDesktop.
