oruxmaps directory
My Motorola Defy recently went away for repairs on the speaker, when it returned the speaker was fixed and I was told some new software was installed on the phone, not sure what though.
Since it's return I have been having drama's.
Whenever I try to view my maps and attempt to browse "offline" I get a message saying there are no maps in the OruxMaps directory, and I know there is, I can't view my maps offline, can you help???

Hi;
go to 'configuration'--'application'. here you can select your maps directory. Check that this value is correct.

I have the same problem
The app has been working fine. Today I removed all the offline maps and created a new set (the old set were overlapping at same levels). The new maps are now in the 'mapfiles' directory, and I can see them there with file explorer. But when I try to go offline the app says "There are no maps in the directory of OruxMaps". The directory is set correctly in settings. The maps are 'OruxMaps Sqlite' I have experimented by changing it to the root OruxMaps folder and put a map in there to see if there was a fault with the folder - negative, that was also not detected (although the subfolders are visible).
The only change I've made earlier today is to set the 'map size' setting in Mobile Atlas to the maximum 1048575 as instructed in the pdf. So I reduced that to 32767 and then 1024 to see if that was the problem - negative.
Any idea what is going wrong?

What happen if you 'reset map sources' button (in the offline map selector view)?

Re: oruxmaps directory
That's quick! When I click on reset map sources when I get the popup message "There are no maps in the directory of OruxMaps. To use the offline capabilities, see the website".
Somehow the app is just not reading the maps. I'll try reinstalling it and let you know if that works.

Problem solved
The problem was that I followed the exact advice of the pdf (http://www.oruxmaps.com/oruxmapsdesktop_quick.pdf). This says:
"5.-Copy the new map/s in your sd card (default directory /oruxmaps/mapfiles/).
IMPORTANT, COPY ONLY THE MAP:"
Actually what solved it was copying not just the map but the whole parent folder (including the xml file).
Might want to clarify this in the pdf.
Cheers
