Supported offline map formats

Which are the offline map formats supported by OruxMaps? I didn't find the information in the manuals and map creation howtos.

The format of OruxMaps itself. There is an converter that can convert the OziExplorer's maps (.map and jpg or png). There are converters to convert the OziExplorer Ozf or Ozfx3 files to png (just rename the map file name to .png in the maps .map).

I also read that Orux is busy to intergrate mapsforce files.

You can create offline maps (and then convert them) with the mobile atlas creator.

OruxMaps supports also rmap format which is used by CompeGPS. Free PC version of Compegps is able to convert many map formats to rmap format

It is called mapsforge and it is already integrated.
This means you can download a map for your area of interest from http://download.mapsforge.org/maps and put in on your sdcard in folder oruxmaps/mapfiles. These maps area created out of OpenStreetMap material. If your desired region is not available for download you can even create your own .map file.

(To avoid confusion: At the moment there's a small 4.2 kilobyte germany.map file in main directory of the downloads. This is not a valid map. Enter one of the subdirectories to download a map. There you also find a valid germany map file.)

I have some OZI maps. OruxMapsDesktop, this program can be used for converting OZI map into oruxmaps.
