Hi

Am trying to work out the full implications of using the above three options, particularly on the analysis of the recorded track(s) by third party services like mapmytracks.

In a situation where one e.g. pauses for lunch, in the manual it is recommended to "start a new segment". This is better than "continue" because apparently at least oruxmaps can give statistics for each segment separately.

But what about services like mapmytracks: from my initial tests it appears that the data is analysed as a single track, so that the lunch break has the effect e.g. of lowering the average speed statistic. Therefore it may be better to "start a new track" after any pause?

Even within oruxmaps, after "starting a new segment", does the trip computer completely ignore any breaks when giving a statistic for the entire track so far?

Thanks.
