PS: I am also wondering how Orux behaves on a rooted Nook (Android e-ink ebook reader). There is no GPS and no connectivity but it could be wonderful for maps anyways!

Not sure, the e-ink panels spend a lot of battery in the display transitions. They are good for static content, but for a continuous map movement ... I'm not sure.

It should work on the Nook, but it may fail if you try to turn on the gps.

They use the long lasting battery life as the biggest strenght of the device. I guess a e-ink would last a lot longer than any LCD-based display, even if one makes plenty of refreshes.
Or, such a thing wouldn't have any sense...

It is working on the Nook.

And it is amazing as HECK.
