Unable to open maps in sqlite format
Maps in sqlite format stopped working for me. All I can see is "Unable to open the map! Perhaps you need to update maps..." But update did not help. Probably happened after update of my LG Optimus One to android 2.3.3, but at the same time I also upgraded to latest Oruxmpas so I am not sure what broke it. When I regenerated my maps in MOBAC to standard oruxmaps format (not sqlite), everything worked just fine.

You're the second person that I have news, also with the LG optimus, upgrading to 2.3.3 I do not know what may be happening. Are the tracks are recorded correctly (also use a sqlite database)?

Unable to open maps in sqlite format
Even I do not go to LG OO 2.3.3 with the original map in both versions 4.0.1 and 3.4.3. Stopped coming after a firmware upgrade. Well, the newly generated off-line maps directly from OruxMaps work! So I finally came to a comparison of the DB file and when I changed the 01 to 02 in the header file (offset 12 hex and 13 hex, 0101->0202 in hex editor) and tested and they work! Old and new maps from Mobac and from OMD, after modification. Why does not the original map? What's wrong?

Thanks jose;
I am going to add a tool in OruxMapsDesktop to do this in batch mode.
It seems that the sqlite libraries of MOBAC and OruxMApsDesktop build a different header, and LG is sensitive to it.

I think it is a different problem.
check the directory in settings--maps--maps directory.
then use 'reset map sources' in map selector list view.

lg optimus one - 2.3.3
hi,
i get the same problem after upgrading the firmware. re-installing oruxmaps doesn't solve the problem. it can't even open the offline-'world' map. can i fix this manually? what files do i have to edit?
thanks,
tux
btw, this is a great app! keep up the good work!

Re: Unable to open maps in sqlite format
Same problem for me after the os upgrade to 2.3.3 (unfortunately I didn't check this forum before).
Hope there will be a fix.
Tnx to Orux....
PS: I confirm that patching 0101->0202 does the map working as jose68 said

Hi;
Test this version of OruxMapsDesktop, last tab-->http://www.oruxmaps.com/OruxMapsDesktop2.0.16beta.zip
Try first with one map.
1.-Select the directory where your OruxMaps map is stored.
2.-Go!
The change is reversible;
Do it again, and 0202 will be set to 0101 in all OruxMapsImages.db sqlite files.
Then you can try with the root directory where your maps are stored, the program will search recursively inside all directories.

Re: Unable to open maps in sqlite format
It works.
Tnx Orux.
Just a warning to everyone:
Be carefull when applying the fix to a folder with several files to be fixed.
The program changes each 0101 to 0202 AND each 0202 to 0101.
So you could loose control on what is fixed a what is not

Thanks, Pascal.
I am going to add two radio button s to select direction,
0101 to 0202
0202 to 0101
