Unable to open downloaded maps (noob)

Hi, I've downloaded OruxMaps and wanted to use it to view some maps I put on my SD card from here: I've tried using a KML file and a GPX file and placing them in the correct folder on the SD card but OruxMaps 'there are no maps in the directory' - what am I doing wrong?

Hi, Miffy; kml and gpx are not map files, are route/track files.

If you want to use ofline maps, follow this manual:
