osm offline rendering with mapsforge
hi orux.
do you know the mapsforge project? http://code.google.com/p/mapsforge/
it's an opensource android render library for osm data. the project looks very active and nicely documented. maybe oruxmaps can benefit.

oops, you are right. didnt see that, sorry. the old thread suffers from the misconception that mapsforge uses raster tiles though, which is completely bullocks. of course the source is vector data! i hope orux takes another look at it... everything required for offline osm rendering is basically served on a silver platter.
