When I try sattelite maps (such as Yandex Sat) - some tiles is no load. If I have a slow internet - loading Yandex Sat is fully unsuccessful.

Hi,
You can resume the download later, if there are problems.
With the last beta is easy-->
1.-open online map you want to use as source, 'map button' --> 'resume download'

Re: Stop downloading tiles
Hi,
problems - some tiles is no load
maps - Google Earth
connections - WiFi or mobile internet
OruxMaps4.5.7beta.apk
clicks: Maps -> Resume download
I see: window "Google Earth" and button "Resume download"
clicks: "Resume download"
I see: window "offline", map "world" and "No map", button "Reset Map Sources"
I can not change the window "offline" (maps)
I clicked all the buttons - to no effect
how to change the window to the "online" (maps)
Any ideas?

You can resume a map if you do not delete it after cancel the download:
clicks: Maps -> Resume download
I see: window "Google Earth" and button "Resume download"
clicks: "Resume download"
I see: window "offline", map "world" and "No map", button "Reset Map Sources"------>YOU SHOULD SEE THE DOWNLOAD CANCELLED MAP, THEN CLICK THIS MAP.

Hi;
You have to click on the map you want to continue downloading. But you have no map to continue.
world -> can not continue.
No map -> can not continue.
You have no offline map to continue downloading.
To continue the download of a map, you should not delete it when you cancel the download. If you cancel the download and delete the map you can not continue after cancelling.
Please, try again, create an offline map; cancel the download BUT DO NOT DELETE IT.

Re: Stop downloading tiles
But problem is in on-line maps, no off-line.
So:
I select on-line source in New Map menu (Yandex Sat, for example).
Map start loading, but some tiles is no load.
I am waiting... No effect.
What can I do to load missing loaded tiles?

Hi,
it is a problem with the file onlinemapsources.xml
Edit that file (placed at oruxmaps/mapfiles/ directory).
Go to 'Yandex Sat' map,
replace <servers>0,1,2,3</servers>
with <servers>1,2,3</servers>
'restart map sources'
then all should work fine.

Re: Stop downloading tiles
Hi. I'm having the same problem but with online openstreetmap cyclemap. I often get large portions of the map tiles not loading or they appear not to load. Doing a refresh as suggested doesn't help and will load some tiles but others will not. The strange thing is this only happens at some zoom levels. E.G. if I zoom out then all the tiles may display but at the next zoom level they won't. Same if I zoom in it may display all the tiles but sometimes not. Also sometimes some tiles display a diagonal message saying "Configuration change required http://bit.ly/snUhqR".orux wrote:Stager wrote:orux wrote:

I checked the onlinemapsources.xml file for the servers but the openstreetmap/cyclemap uses servers a,b,c so I'm not sure if my problem is caused by the same issue.

I am downloading tiles from opencyclemap with mobac using the following cycle.xml placed in Mobac\Mapsources\:
- Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<customMapSource>
<name>CustomCycle</name>
<minZoom>0</minZoom>
<maxZoom>17</maxZoom>
<tileType>png</tileType>
<tileUpdate>None</tileUpdate>
<url>http://c.tile.opencyclemap.org/cycle/{$z}/{$x}/{$y}.png</url>
<backgroundColor>#000000</backgroundColor>
</customMapSource>
Up to now I have only have problems with zooomlevel 17, all higher zoomlevels can be downloaded. The regions which cannot be downloaded have a rectangular shape of 8*8 tiles. Therefor I susppect that those are regions which were not rendered by opencyclemap and that is the reason why the server can't supply them.

Re: Stop downloading tiles
I'm not sure if this is a problem with the tiles not being downloaded or a rendering problem. E.G I tried various maps and have the problem with google earth, osm cyclemap and opencyclemap->mapsforge but don't see the problem with Microsoft Earth map, osmarender->mapsforge, mapnik->mapsforge.
It's frustrating because sometimes when I'm out on the trail and need to refer to the map I can't get the tile to load or display.
