"When I have been there" feature
Hi,
OruxMaps is great at recording my tracks and showing them on maps, but I would like to get more information about my tracks on the fly. Currently I can only get the length and time of the whole track (and of segments, but this requires that I have told OruxMaps to split into segments, which is not always convenient to do). I often want to ask OruxMaps, "when I have been there?", "how long was the trip from here to there (in time and meters)?", "what was my average speed from here to there?", and so on. I see no way to do this currently (statistics for each km which appear in the track statistics are not useful for me, because I cannot link them to the point on the map).
I suggest a (hopefully simple to implement) feature which would help me greatly: when I click on the track or route, I get an option to know when I have been there, displayed as clock time and distance from the start of the track/route. This would answer the first question above right away, and I could perform some simple calculations to answer my other questions.
Thanks for all the work, OruxMaps is great and still becomes better and better!
Also one very minor request: why sunrise/sunset can be calculated only in the GPS mode? It makes sense to show sunrise/sunset for the current map center, without using the GPS...

Re: "When I have been there" feature
Any thoughts about this?
On a related note: I think the table which shows up when I click the button in the track statistics could be made more practical (this button has some meaningless name in the Polish translation BTW... and it is not the only one). The second column should display cumulative sums, when I want to know the total time for 20 kilometers, it is easier and more precise to subtract two numbers than to add 20 (a common algorithmic technique;) ). Similarly with height increase/height decrease. Absolute height and absolute time, and maybe even coordinates could be shown (all this probably means that pressing "menu" while in statistics should allow you to choose columns to show). It should be possible to easily change the scale (say, each 300 m, not each 1 km). It should be possible to touch a row and be moved to the corresponding point on the map.
