Skip Map Check does not work

Hi all,
as I have quite a lot of offline maps, it takes a while to check them. However the "Skip Map Check"-Button does not seem to work. No matter if its on or off, Orux skips the check, if the programm was only down a short time, and checks the maps after being off for a longer time...
Can someone confirm this behaviour or has an idea to repair?

Hi;

there are two steps:

1.-load the list of maps from the database, which is always necessary (to display the list of maps, map autoload ...)

2.-check for changes in the maps (new maps, or deleted maps, ...).

The first phase is always necessary. If you have many many maps, the better to OruxMaps is playing with a limited set of maps. Organize your maps in folders inside your maps folder (by area, type of map, ...) and disable the map folders you do not use often (long press on the list of maps on that folder). When you need it then active the folder again (long press).

So OruxMaps will take less time to many of its functions.
