IGN maps 1 : 25 000 of France through TopoMap from James Barner into OruxMaps

Hi Orux,

I read in an older threat, that there is with TopoMap a tool, which is able to load and create Topo-Maps for OruxMaps. See https://oruxmaps.forumotion.com/t708-downloading-geoportail-now-possible-with-topomap.
I've tried to get TopoMap, but haven't found it in the web.
Do you have any status about that?

I'm strongly interested in France maps 1:25.000.

Is the app self-explaining - I would like to download department 07 Ardeche - and could I import the map after extract from IGN to OruxMaps?

My laptop is 64k and all worked fine.
I used it to extract few parts of Essonne. Fully fonctionnal on Oruxmaps with all layers. But be carefull to size.
This soft could be a bit complicated but when you know how to use, it's great.

I gave a look to the doc, maybe .net isn't up to date :

Make sure, you have the installed “Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1”. You can check that in “Add Or Remove Programs” in the “Control Panel”. If .NET Framework is not installed, update your Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 system.

.Net 4.0 installed, but running W7 professional 64bit - and you?

.Net 4, W7 premium.
You just need to unzip the whole files in a folder. All should be fine.

It's working fine on a 32bit Windows 7 Home Premium.
I've downloaded a map from France, Department 07, Latitude Up: 44,58, Down: 44,28 and Longitude Left: 3,88, Right: 4,58, Format to OruxMaps and Merging Size Pixel to 15.872.
My first try was to upload to the SmartPhone only the OruxMap-Folder; while resetting OM database, I got an error?

Any idea what to load, to do?

What I can say:
1/ I never change merging size. Could you test with 512?
2/ It seems some users need to do a manual change in the XML file, that was my case. Use WordPad, notepad++ or else. Do a change all "," (coma) to "." (point), undo this on first coma for each "Equirectangular,46,5", this should remain "Equirectangular,46.5"
3/ generated file looks huge to me. Could you test with a smaller area? Note that orux knows to switch between maps. It's better to have 4 smaller maps than an huge for orux.

what do you need to upload to Orux?
I thought, that the *.db and *.xml file is enough, as with other apps, but this hadn't worked. What do you have uploaded?

Under the map folder defined in Orux, just create a folder having the name of your map, under this folder copy the .db and .xml file generated by topomap. That's all.

In other words, just copy what is under the folder ORUXMAPS_SQLITE_FORMAT generated by topo map

Thanks for your support! The edit of "," was the key for success!
Now my map is working fine, but I'll try the pixel size. When I'm zooming, other maps will be offered from Orux - but both are 1:25.000.

Back to the "size". Changing pixel to 2.048 doesn't work. Comparing the IGN-map with german map (1:25.000) generated with Mobile Atlas Creator showes me, that I can zoom in IGN down to 0,31 km, in the german to 0,11 km smallest.
Any idea - what is your experience?

Hello, I downloaded TopoMap from .cnet. I generated a small map from France mainland for orux. Once the archieve in orux folder mapfiles I refresh maps list but Error! when reading this new Archieve which contains .db and .otrk2.xml. I edited the "," but not fixed. Any Idea?
