Ts would be really helpful as recording voice notes on waypoints is probably the most efficient way to record data while gathering mapping data for OpenStreetMaps.

It would also help if hardware button is used to create such notes, camera button for example.

Yes;

You can do with current version, attaching audio files as extensions to the wpt. Then settings--tts/audio; then select 'wpt audio alarm'

yes I would also appreciate a 'Audio wpt' button. Please also integrate it to the button builder.

It is possible you record the audio directly in the application using the media recorder functionality. The OSMTracker does this directly here the source of Voice Recording:
