Option to correct displayed value of barometric pressure
Hi Orux,
Oruxmaps shows also the barometric pressure. That's great (if you have a device with barometric sensor :-)). Unfortunatelly the absolute value of this barometric pressure is not equals the real value. It woud be nice if there would be an option with an numeric input field to also correct the displayed value of the barometric pressure (in other words: this would be a sort of calibration feature of barometric pressure).
Thanks a lot,
Hans

Barometric presure normalized to zero
Hallo,
I think my previous post was a bit imprecise. The pressure shown in the application is right. On the other hand we are used to barometric values that are values which are normalized to zero see level (i.e. 1013 mbar). Depending on the current altitude and the current pressure it is possible to calculate the barometric pressure normalized to zero (->http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atmospheric_pressure)
There is a nice app called "Altimeter" which is doing it.
Altimeter App:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.ssandon.altimeter
It would be great if this feature could be implemented in oruxmaps. In my opinion it is not just a nice to have feature but a very important feature as it helps to detect if weather is going to change dramatically which might be indicated by a fastly decreasing barometric pressure. This can be very important e.g. if you are out in the alps. Combined with an "custom OFFLINE elevation service" (-> https://oruxmaps.forumotion.com/t2457-custom-offline-elevation-service) which can be used to determine the current altitude it then would be possible to determine the normalized barometric pressure and to compare it with earlier values.
Thank you very much,
Hans
