Bug report:
Error - Track recording stops when the barometric sensor is switched on:

Recording of a track with activated barometer is broken when the screen is switched off and the satellite signal is lost.

My settings: Barometer is ON - screen turns off automatically
If I want to record a track and I'm driving through a tunnel, the track record is stopped because no satellite signal get more. This is normal. No problem. But after the tunnel - with good satellite signal - the track record is not automatically restarted. So then no GPS track is recorded. Only when the display is manually turn on again, the track record continues.
When I try the same thing with barometer-sensor OFF, the track will start recording again after the tunnel by itself.

My Phone Samsung Galaxy Note2 with Android v4.1.1

Hi,

I see a simular problem with the Barometer Altidude and the Altidude from GPS.

When you install Oruxmaps new, and the use " Barometer for Elevation" is OFF,
you get a altidude reading after the GPS has a fix.(Normal)
When you now change to use " Barometer for Elevation" ON, you get a altidude reading from the Barometer after the GPS has a fix. (Normal)
But now when you change back to " Barometer for Elevation" OFF you will NOT get a reading for Altidude from GPS anymore.
You have to make a new install to get a reading from GPS again.

You can record with Barometer ON, but when you switch Barometer OFF, recording stops, switch back ON, recording starts.

Maybe a problem to restart the sensor because without GPS no altidude and without altidude no recording.

You are right!

you have found a bug (when you turn off/on the barometer settings);

but there seems to be a problem with the NOTE pressure sensor;

If the barometer is active, but provides an incorrect altitude value, the point is not recorded; OruxMaps waits for a good altitude.

It seems that the NOTE turns off the barometer when he wants, regardless of what the app expects!

I'm having a similar problem with a Sony Xperia Active. If barometer is enabled, than the track recording does not start (even after a succesfull calibration), while it works if the barometer reading is disabled in GPS preferencies in Oruxmaps. I'm using 5.4.2 on Android 4.1
