What is the size maximum accepted by android

In theory, android accepts only 2 Go.
I have tried with many sizes of maps in particular with MBTiles :

- OruxMaps is Ok (then android) with a multilayer of 3,5 Go.
- And OruxMaps is Ok with a single layer of 5,4 Go !

Maybe we can do more ?

Hi,

the limit is the limit of the file system.

if you are using a fat32 sdcard, the limit is 4gb more or less; if your sdcard or internal memory is using ext4, then 16Tb.

I own an extsd microsdsx formated in exfat (64 Go), that is certainly why I can use more than 4 Go ?
But OruxMaps is better than others (I don't want to give names) because it's the only one where such size is accepted !
