In Case You're Confused About Routes and Waypoints Empty In Case You're Confused About Routes and Waypoints

Here's some things that were confusing to me that I figured out (mostly by re-reading the manual):

Q: Where did my waypoints go?
A: Waypoints are part of Tracks; they normally aren't loaded except when their associated track or route is loaded. When you load a track or route, you have to "reload" the waypoints by going into "Waypoints" from the main menu, going to the waypoint menu, then hitting "Reset filter". Once the waypoints are shown in the "Waypoints" screen, go to the waypoint menu and hit "To map".

Q: I'm following a route; why isn't ETE showing anything?
A: You must enable track logging first.

Q: I'm following a route and track logging is enabled; why is bearing to destination zero?
A: Bearing to destination isn't enabled unless you're in "waypoint navigation"; it isn't enabled in route navigation.

Note: all of these are also covered in the on-line manual.
Hopefully, this will help some of the new converts.
