Upload to GPSies (and Download from GPSies)
Hi José
As a german speaking user I use www.gpsies.com instead of www.everytrail.com. GPSies is a similar, very popular service. It would be great to have the opportunity to upload tracks to GPSies. The Android Software Maverick (http://www.codesector.com/maverick.php) has integrated this feature (but I prefer orux maps, therefore no alternative for me), so it seems to be possible. On the homepage of www.gpsies.com an API Documentation is avaiable: http://www.gpsies.com/api/GPSiesAPI.pdf - but it shows only how to download tracks from GPSies to the phone and not vice-versa.
It would make me very glad and worth a donation of 20 €, if this feature gets implemented.
Kind regards
Björn

I second. Sometimes, gpsies is more comfortable.

Israeli users too
That would be nice.
Gpsies also attracts many Israeli users.
One nice feature about it is that it allows direct submission of your track to OSM, thus supporting the free mapping community.
Of course, this could also be done directly from within Oruxmaps.

take a look at the last beta -->www.oruxmaps.com/cs
You can download the tracks with GPSies for android, it is a very good application. Then you can open the gpx/kml with oruxmaps using your file browser. In the future, there will be full integration with GPSies.

Re: Upload to GPSies (and Download from GPSies)
Thank you for your response.
I installed the beta and for now, i only can say "Wow", these changes are all realy impresive!
It works like a charm!
Two things i've noticed are, that in astro it doesnt recognice the format, with the oi it works.
And the other thing is, it will load the file always as a route, for me i like to have it as a track.
Because i like to know how long the tour will take, so maybe a desicion would be nice.
I will donate because you do a realy good job and as i see in the beta it will get even better :-)
Sorry that i get a little bit OT ;-)

Hi José
A big thanks for your work. I tested the new functionality concerning GPSies and it works like a charm. As promised in my first post, I donated 20 €.
And of course, I'm still interested in the other two wishes (Auto Set Waypoints and Import waypoints from KML), but of course, you decide, what's important.
Kind regards
Björn
