How to display hiking trails
I've been learning Mobile Atlas Creator and Oruxmaps. After much reading and experimenting I've learned to create, load and view a map. I would like to be able to put an actual hiking trail on a map. I've found some .GPX files for the area of the map and add them and can see them in Mobile Atlas Creator.
How can I get these hiking trails to show up on the maps when I use Oruxmaps?
Also does the site accept PayPal for donations?
It seems to be a great program and thanks for the creation.

Re: How to display hiking trails
One good approach is to upload your GPXs to OpenStreetMap, then use one of the site's editors (I'm using Potlatch 2) to convert that "trace" (as the site calls a GPS track) into a trail. The idea is quite comperable to Wikipedia--it's a world map that anyone can contribute to. Once your results are rendered, you can view them on OruxMaps via Mobile Atlas Creator. OpenStreetMap is really a database, which can be rendered in different ways. One of those ways is Cycle Map, which is one of the map sources found on OruxMaps. It's pretty close to a hiking map, and includes topo lines. I've been doing this with the trails around my house--adding some, correcting others. It's quite gratifying--like being your own cartographer. And OruxMaps' ability to fetch and display OpenStreetMaps data makes it ideal for the purpose.

Re: How to display hiking trails
I think PisgahHiker asked for something else.
If you have a .gpx file, you can simply import it to Oruxmaps. Put it somewhere in the phone's SD card, open a map, press menu button, choose Tracks, menu button again, Import Track, choose file type and locate the file on your SD card. This requires that you have OI File explorer installed on the phone.
In this way, you can display any gpx file directly on the pone.
