i think the connection issues caused from the alpha version of the OS Froyo.
the OS handle the BT Connect.
------oruxmaps is realy ready to use for navigation with extern gps devices.------------Very Happy

Hi, nanu;

May be you can test using OruxMaps + Bluetooth GPS or Bluetooth GPS provider.

hi orux,
do you mean if I test the gps mouses with oruxmaps ?? yes of course !
sorry..i forget to define in platform the used SW was oruxmaps beta 3.38
feel free to rename the topic to : Report BT GPS Mouses using in Oruxmaps

connecting via Oruxmaps Button GPS (long press) means the function button(icon with SAT) in oruxmaps

i also forget to remark: in the Infofield GPS Accuray: all Devices shows allways 0.
how do you calculate the accuray ?
is it possibile to show the HDOP value ?
(in a not autohide field with backgroundcolor: red =no sat fix yellow = communication o.k(if BT) green= fix)

sorry for the confusion...
cheers

Sorry; is my fault;

I was talking about using the applications (you can find them in the market) 'Bluetooth GPS' and 'Bluetooth GPS provider' to connect the external gps with the android device. Then test with OruxMaps, as if the gps was the internal gps.

About HDOP; with the internal GPS, the accuracy is shown in meters, which is not the same as the HDOP. I have to find the formula to calculate the accuracy in meters, so that ordinary users are not confused.

o.k i can do so
in my test is no additional gps app used. only in the android setup i paired the gpsmouse with the tablet and take the connect in oruxmaps it's very easy Very Happy

perhaps, in the distant future:HDOP or Accuracy selectable in setup ?

what the reason for zero meter Accuracy ? do you missing a value in the protocol from the gps mouse ?

during the test I saw if the BT or GPS broken i can not recognize ! the little SAT Symbol shows allways the same.
for savety navigation a big clear indication(colors ?) of the state would be very useful. Very Happy

the result of the test with Bluetooth GPS provider:
the connect is unstable a have during 4h three breaks und 1 deadlock.

with my device it is not necessary to use an additional bt gps program.
the BT support of the O.S softw. is mutch more better.
