black on white readings?
Now that the sun gets brighter it gets difficult to read the white on grey reading of speed, heartrate,
distance etc.
That is the big disadvantage of the mobile phone screens.
It certainly would help a bit to have black on white readings.
Is there a chance to get such a change.
I'd be ready to donate 20€ for such version.
Who else?

In addition it would be great to have the graphics like altitude and heartrate in black or red on white.
If it is printed in the current state (red on black) it doesn't look very nice and costs a lot of print color.
Even on the device screen the graphics might be erasier to read in black on white.
Just my humble opinion.

I can't be the only one with difficulties to read the white on grey indications?
The mobile phone screens are a problem in bright sunshine on the bike.
In my humble opinion it might help a bit to have slightly bigger readings for
e.g. speed and heartrate and to have them black on white.
I don't need the transparent mode of the indications.
Orux promised a version in future and I'm looking forward to it and hope that
it will come before the summer is gone again :-)

Re: black on white readings?
This looks promising.
Here is one suggestion: check how design works in landscape mode. That is how gps is usually used in a car. Current design does not work well> it uses too much space making map less reaable, and ther is an isue with side bars for buttons: if you put more that two buttons, they cannot fit, so sidebar must be scrolled. That is not good.
I use sidebars for zooming buttons (zoom in, zoom out and zoom to 100%) and they cannot fit (even with small buttons). Those are functions often needed while driving, and need to scroll bar to get to the button is not acceptable in such situation.
I also have problem with hiding button bars. Option is needed to get space for map, but it would be good if hiding may be set for each button bar separately. For instance, I want main button bar to hide, but buttons for zooming should be always visible. Again, while driving, when I need to zoom map, need to first make bar visible is very dangerous.

Black on white reading
Hello Orux,
I am delighted.
The readings look great now and I will give it a try
today in bright sunshine.
But I'm sure that is what I needed on the bike.
That's very important to me because I intent to go to Spain
and bike the Camino del Norte (hopefully in bright sunshine).
Two little flaws on my first run of the version:
The cursor setting isn't stored. One has to choose a different
cursor after each new start.
If I add the radar button in the button builder the system chrashes.
Onlly little flaws which can be avoided.
Thank you very much.

Re: black on white readings?
Yes, it looks very good! I use it in flight navigation and so it is important to check the values quick and easy.

Hi, Uli;
About cursor: Remember that changes in 'tweaks' are only for current session. If you want that change permanent, go to 'Configuration--Application--Cursor mode'.
The problem with button creator, I will release today a new version solving that problem.

Black on white reading
I was biking all day and thanks to Oruxmaps it was a great day.
The black on white reading is wonderful.
I need only speed, distance, heartrate and altitude.
That means that I still can see most of the map.
Thanks for the hint with the cursor.
Oruxmaps offers so many features .
I'll reply to your Email tomorrow.
I'm tired for today.

Black on white reading
I'm using OruxMaps v.3.5.5beta
That is what I'm told if I choose ABOUT (in German Über).
The screen is really brilliant now in portrait mode.
My friend said, it looks professional now.
This version is my version on the bike.
The little flaw with live track to mapmytracks will be certainly
delt with.
I donated the promised 3rd rate today.
Thank you Orux.
