GPS-Alarm (1st Gps position)
I noticed, that the GPS-Alarm (1st Gps position) is only working, when a track is logging.
Is it possible that this Alarm would work if the GPS is on and the track is not starting yet?
I will start the track only if a accurate GPS-signal is available (alarm).
Thank you, orux

Re: GPS-Alarm (1st Gps position)
I agree it probably should run as soon as you start the gps. My guess it's done this way because it uses the setting "accuracy for position fix" which is used for tracking & setting waypoints. When you start a track log, it doesn't create a track until you've met this accuracy minimum AND the minimum time and distance settings.* So it's not like your going to get much (if any) bad data at the start of your track. I guess it would depend on the fix accuracy. If high, you might get weird data as it continues to dial in because it thinks you're moving. Does that make sense? As an example, I rode my bike the other day and started the gps in the house to get it going. It got the fix while in the garage putting my helmet on. Looking at the track afterwards I see no extra waypoints/lines. It starts and ends very close to each other (driveway/garage). BTW, I had the accuracy set to 100m.
I have to say this is much better than when I used a different app on my old feature phone. It only tracked based on one variable so you'd get this tangled track line where-ever you paused (to take a snack break, etc). Useful if you want to remember where you stopped
but sometimes I'd pause the track logging and forget to restart it. OruxMaps does this for you, so to speak.
*Correction: According to Orux it only has to meet one of the criteria.

Looking forward to this feature too! First fix takes sometimes quit a long time, so it is a useful feature not to switch off GPS until it gets position.
