Vector maps city/street/waypoint search

Hi Orux,

I'm still very happy with the offline vector maps option!! While using I was wondering if there is a possibility to search for city's/streets/waypoints that are included in the openstreetmaps vector MAP files? I do not exactly know how these are stored in the MAP files?

Is my idea above a silly idea? Or is it impossible? It looks very interesting to me, but since no-one replied, I think it won't be supported by others....

Sorry for this delay.

The mapsforge API does not include such option.

May be in the future, because it is an early version (0.2.4)
