Grid coordinates

I have a problem with grid (meter) coordinates. I have correctly calibrated map and Oruxmaps shows my location correctly. Also the dashboard coordinates in degrees are correct. But when I choose the grid coordinates using the same map they are not correct. I have tried couple different maps with detailed calibration data for TM and also a map which is compatible with UTM. The meter coordinates are not shown correctly in these cases. For example with the same maps in Trekbuddy I can get correct UTM coordinates when I select grid coordinates from settings. Is this something that should work also in Oruxmaps?

Hi;

Current version of OruxMaps only supports WGS84 coordinates system.

Could you paste the beginning of the original .map file?

As I wrote just the grid coordinates are wrong in dashboard but the location is correct.

I have done some tests, and seems to work fine.

Try this:

Open a map with lat/lon coordinates; use this site, and transform those lat/lon coordinates to grid coordinates:

http://home.hiwaay.net/~taylorc/toolbox/geography/geoutm.html

Without scrolling the map, change coordinates in oruxmaps (settings--units) to grid coordinates.

Compare both (site and oruxmaps) grid coordinates.

I have checked the coordinates and the longtitude error is ~50m and latitude error ~2.8km (too north).
