current position display

new user here. I found the start GPS button finally. Orux is very manual and configurable, but you can get lost. I downloaded a Google Terrain map for my town. After starting the GPS, a target popped up where I should be. problem solved? not quite. after traveling, I found that the target had not moved. so how do I get an icon to show a current position while I travel? downloading maps and making waypoints seem to be straightforward, but basic things like seeing your current position still elude me.

track route works, but I was wondering if I could see my location without tracking a route. sometimes I am not going anywhere in particular.

ok. it displayed position when I did a long press on 'offline maps' and let it autostart. for some reason, starting the gps from the map screen didn't work. had gps signal. oh well.
