Where do deleted waypoints go?

I have a Nexus 7 and Orux (v.5.2.3 Donate) is by far my most used app - I use it professionally almost every day and it is fantastic. Thank you.
Today I had a problem. I had accidentally created a track and I wanted to delete it. I went to the Track Manager and deleted it, but this seems to have deleted ALL of the waypoints I had created that day! Not sure why when I only selected the track in the Track Manager (it was just a two point track, a simple straight line, and I had created it the day before)?
The strange thing is, after I hit 'delete', the track was removed from the map screen, but the waypoints remained. However, those waypoints I created today, although still on the map screen, were not visible in the Track Manager. I could select them in the map, edit them etc, but they weren't in the waypoint manager. When I shut down the tablet, then started it up again when I got home, the waypoints have gone altogether.
I have lost all of a very valuable days work. It includes numerous photo points I created for a site I am studying.
How do I find them? They must be somewhere in the tablet.
Can someone help me?
